Here at Leicester Islamic Academy, teaching and learning for children aged 3–11 focuses on building strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and social development through a broad and engaging curriculum. At this stage, learning is often play-based for younger children and gradually becomes more structured, fostering curiosity, creativity, and independence.
In our school, with an Islamic ethos, education is underpinned by core Islamic values such as respect, honesty, compassion, and responsibility. Children are encouraged to develop good character (akhlaq), a sense of community, and a strong moral compass, with spiritual development woven into daily school life through prayer, reflection, and learning about Islamic teachings.
