Welcome to KS1

KS1 is an exciting and crucial transition period from Foundation stage into Year 1 and Year 2. In this Key stage area, children have a structured curriculum delivered in a child friendly manner.

Reading is very important in KS1 as this helps them to comprehend all other subjects in their curriculum. Therefore, it is important for parents to ensure children keep practicing phonics until they are completely secure.
